Royal Albert Hall

Posted 11 November, 2012

HMVC and Hartlepool Ladies’ Choir were invited to sing at the Royal Albert Hall on the 3rd of November, along with selected choirs from across the UK, to sing in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Three coaches filled with choir members & friends left the Historic Quay on Friday morning, arriving in London before teatime giving them a free night to take in a show, see the sights or just dine out on the town.  Saturday for the singers consisted of a full rehearsal at the Albert Hall, brass bands, fiddlers and bag-pipers, while our friends had time again to take in the sights of our capital city.
The concert although done and dusted now, will live long in the memory of all the people who were in that very famous hall that night.  Two world famous brass bands, a group of fiddlers who had the crowd jumping in their seats and a lone piper…… fantastic!!!
All in aid of a very, very worthy cause, Cancer Research UK
